Comments and suggestions are always welcome. If you have something you would like seen on here just let me know!
Thanks! Enjoy! |
| | Attention!! | This website is to inform the consumer that more often than not, you are going to get your hands on a replica bag if you don't buy directly from a Louis Vuitton boutique or off of ELuxury.com (eluxury.com is the official online seller of Louis Vuitton).
Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of authentic sellers on E-bay that resell bags from their own personal collections, you just have to know how to find them. Some people spend hours combing through internet auctions just to find one bag that is authentic. Your best advantage when purchasing a pre-owned LV, is to use only Authentic LV Resellers (which in no way are affiliated, employed, or endorsed by LV or LVMH).
If you are not familiar with all the details of the LV line you are looking for buying pre-owned LV on the internet is extremely risky. The experienced LV collector and reseller has spent years examining each detail and can decipher what is indeed authentic.
Do not forget, if you have a dream handbag in mind~ We now offer a finder service for that special handbag in pre-owned condition. Here at FLALV you may now tell us what you are looking for and we will find your bag in the condition you are wanting! E-mail us at flalvboutique@FLALV.com for details.
Go to the Links page to find web sites with information on how to purchase guides, LV experts that have authentication services, and other helpful information that all pertains to buying used Louis Vuitton.
Remember, knowledge is power. If you do not know how to determine whether a LV is authentic, please gain this knowledge before trying to purchase yours online. If not buying directly from eluxury.com or your local LV boutique, you run a statistically high risk of buying a replica! Trust me, LV enthusiasts can tell!

| How my adventure began... | | I wrote this web page for lover's of Louis Vuitton that was open to the public. All of the message forums that I wanted to be a part of were by "invitation only". How in the world are you to be invited if you don't get in to meet anyone?? I have loved the craftsmanship and quality of Louis Vuitton for years. I am totally disgusted with the replicas on the internet and on auction sites.
My husband "loves" E-bay, one day he saw an auction for a Murakami Speedy 30 ( I had mentioned to him previously that I was debating on its purchase ). My husband is a very intelligent man, he is an emergency medicine physician and has owned designer items before. He saw it was about $400 cheaper than buying it at the store. The site said it was authentic, it looked good to him, and it said it was brand new. So he tapped the little "buy it now" button, and swish it was on its way.
I was the brand new owner of.... what?? What is this? A fabric swatch hanging from the handle? A luggage tag? A yellow authenticity card in a little green envelope? What in the world is all this? Monograms weren't lined up, the interior fabric was inferior, there was no date code, and... well, I think that is about enough. It was the thought that counted, right?? It was a fake. How could I tell him that??? Even though it was a replica, it still was not monetarily cheap. How could I tell the man I love, "thank you, but it is not real", without sounding ungrateful? I was disgusted. I went on the auction sites myself to see what was for sale. I was shocked!!!!! There were so many fakes labeled as the real thing and so few authentic items. All I could do was feel sorry for all of the unsuspecting bidders! What makes matters worse? They were not even good fakes! Some were absolutely hideous! When people got these bags in their home (I won't even call them "handbags", that word is to upscale for what most of these knock-offs were) how could they not see that the quality was poor and not the equivalent of a Louis Vuitton handbag? Could people not tell that if a handbag costs $1200, the quality would show that cost in its craftsmanship? If they didn't, Louis Vuitton would not have survived past day one. Just because people have money, they aren't stupid. We save and splurge for luxurious items because they are worth it. Louis Vuitton items will last a lifetime. The bag I received wouldn't have lasted 6 months. (I never used it, couldn't bring myself to carry a replica, if I could tell it was fake... don't you think a lot of other people could too?)
Apparently not, these replica bags were selling like hot cakes from every direction and in record numbers. Some of these people had 40 auctions of one particular handbag or clutch. Who on earth would have the money to buy all of those, and sell them for less than a profit? Nobody! Let me repeat that to all of you. Louis Vuitton does not sell wholesale. They do not go "on sale". Louis Vuitton does not have a "semi-annual sale". So how could someone reasonably purchase such a large volume of expensive merchandise and be stupid enough to sell them cheaper than they bought them? NOBODY!!!!!
I made it a mission, try and educate as well as be educated. I want people to have the knowledge to make informed decisions about their purchases. I wanted people, like my husband, to be able to purchase items, and when things are labeled as "authentic" they are truly authentic. Isn't that what the term was meant to be? |
