Don't be fooled

The number one tool to make sure you buy only authentic when purchasing from online sellers is education. You must learn many specific things for each line and style.

Fake Graffiti Louis Vuitton

Look at these pictures. One way to determine authenticity is to figure out if the design even existed. Example~ Graffiti Alma's only came in Peach/White and Black and White. There was a Alma MM, PM, and Long. This color and design does not even exist. Thank god!! Also, that is a fake dust bag.
The size and shape of this bag is incorrect. The handle is too long, the wrong size, and the zipper pulls are incorrect. Look at the bag below to see the differences.

Authentic Graffiti Alma Long

Can you see the obvious differences? The best thing you can do when searching online for your LV purchase is to find a authentic item in which you can compare. Remember~ LV is known for its precision.

Font Matters

Study the font styling that LV uses. All LV experts can spot a fake 9 out of 10 times on a picture like this alone. Louis Vuitton uses a particular font. The font is always perfect, alignment is exact, and each letter is perfectly spaced. When looking for you handbag always look for this picture. If there is no picture available that shows this stamping, ask for it. If the seller is not willing to do that for a buyer, your best bet would be to skip it! No matter how good a deal may be, if you get a fake bag you still lost money!

Monogram colors

The murakami line is known for its beautiful colors. Every Multicolore bag is to have 33 colors. One sure fire way to quickly eliminate a fake is to find a LV monogram. Look to the right of that and up. The flower monogram is the same color. WRONG!!! If a bag has that, move on, it is fake. Also, LV does not wrap its hardware this way. Sometimes zipper pulls are covered in a sticky sided blue/transparent plastic film, but their hardware will never leave the boutique like this. There is more, but I think that is enough to rule this out.

Vernis Robert Wilson

Be very careful when it comes to discontinued and rare items. Counterfeiters know these items are more expensive and out to get your money, and the more they can get, the happier they will be. Vernis is compared to patent leather. It is has a shiny liquidy like appearance. In your bronze and silver you will also see little metallic like sparkles in the vernis.

When vernis is photographed, it is very hard to make out the monograms and quatrafoils. If the monograms are very noticeable and  distinct more than likely you have a fake. Usually, if you stand about 6 feet away from a vernis piece, you will not be able to make out the monograms.

Again, it will never have a plastic look to it where it looks dull. There is a certain shine to it. Look at this replica Robert Wilson Vernis. It definitely has that plastic look to it. Also, the orange and green colors are not the correct shade. Also, see that swatch of fabric and the tag hooked with a plastic tie to the bag? Those are key to fake-a-roo.

Authentic Robert Wilson

The differences are very obvious when you compare them. See how vibrant the colors are. See how the vernis shines. Notice how the monograms are just barely noticeable. These are authentic Robert Wilson handbags.
